House of Performance is a consultancy firm based in Utrecht, The Netherlands. With over 40 consultants working all over the country, the team only spends Fridays working together in the old courthouse built in 1912. The challenge was to create a working space which didn’t feel desolate when it was empty. A meandering desk landscape in the main working space produced the room’s character and the use of wooden herringbone surfaces provided a warm atmosphere. The furniture and finishes were designed to reflect the heritage of the site while providing a contemporary environment at the same time.
